It’s Fuzz time. New Venue, More Spots!

The Tour de Fuzz (Tdf) has been described as a one-of-a-kind event and the “FUNNEST RIDE” in Northern California. Some tell us it’s the finish line party, all-you-can-eat BBQ, gourmet sides, unlimited local IPA beers and wine. Others claim it’s our scenic wine country routes and full-service rest stops. While many riders simply enjoy the SAG (Support & Gear) vehicles with off-duty cop/cyclists and the police swag giveaways. Regardless of your reason(s), it has been your cycling support that makes it possible for Chaplains to serve our community.

About the Ride

The Tour de Fuzz includes three scenic wine country ride options; links below detail each route. Turn-by-turn printed directions and rest stop maps will be provided at rider check-in. Routes are well marked by colored arrows on the pavement, too. We don’t want any ‘fuzzies’ to get lost and miss the party.

  • 50k (32 miles, click to view route); “The Enthusiast” is a Tour de Fuzz beautiful cruise through stunning vineyards into Windsor, Healdsburg and the historic Wohler bridge (you’ll definitely want to take a photo – or two) with just 1,000 feet of total climbing over a 32 mile course, this is the route for most anyone. The ride takes you back to the start via charming farming terrain for our infamous afterparty BBQ – and unlimited beer. Until you get there, there’s plenty of help along with way with gourmet rest stops and energy treats.

  • 100k (62 miles, click to view route); “The Roadie” – our most popular ride – is a “Fuzzie” favorite magnificent cycling route with rolling hills, the very best of Sonoma County wine roads – including the West Side miracle mile, charming bridges over the Russian River, small farming towns such as Geyserville and Jimtown, peppered with manageable climbs covering 62 miles and a total ascension of 2,800 feet. The route takes you across quiet backroads to the start for our infamous afterparty BBQ – and unlimited beer. Until you get there, you’ll be well nourished with fully stocked rest stops – and our friendly volunteer cheerleaders.

  • 100 miles (click to view route); “The Commando” is our infamous Tour de Fuzz epic Century ride, where riders experience the all-inclusive beauty of Sonoma County’s vineyard landscapes, Dry Creek valley, historic bridges, charming towns north towards Cloverdale and enjoy lunch at beautiful Lake Sonoma. For those who dare, we offer an optional “King/Queen of the Mountain” Rockpile Road challenge at Warm Springs Dam – with commemorative jersey prizes for age group victors. Those completing the full Commando will have navigated 100 miles, climbing over 6,800 feet – and full bragging rights. Once you get back, another celebration awaits you, our infamous BBQ afterparty with all the beer you can drink. The Commando includes two meals and rest stops along the route to keep you well fueled and going strong.

Just $89, $99, and $109, respectively. Entries include the infamous finish-line party, our all-you-can-eat BBQ (vegan, too), gourmet sides, unlimited IPA beer along with Sonoma wines and ice cream. Start and finish is at our new venue, the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts, 50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa, to accomodate more riders. Depending on your route, check-in and start times begin from 6:00 am – 10:00 am with the BBQ after-party jumping in full gear from noon – 5:00 pm. There will be Friday night and Saturday early check-in times.

100% of funds raised benefit the Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Service in Sonoma County (LECS). We provide support to first responders, law enforcement, emergency personnel, their families and members of our community who find themselves in the midst of tragedy and loss. During these last few years, our Chaplains responded 24/7/365 to suicides, Covid-19 deaths and homes lost to wildfires. Last year we added 6 additional chaplains and this year our academy has 20 cadets in training. Your support, along with our sponsors below, makes this all possible and we thank you.
